SOLD - 1998 16ft Scamp Travel Trailer - $16,500 - Saint Paul, MN

1998 16’ Side Dinette Scamp Trailer for Sale. Eleven years ago, we decided to leave our tents and the cold, cold, ground and move up in the world. After much searching, we found our baby in Florida, of all places. The silver paint job made us think “Star Trek”, and that’s all it took. 2,300 miles later we were home! While the outside was pretty neat, the inside was, to put it mildly, spectacularly weird! Fur on all the bare plastic surfaces and anatomical (don’t ask!) pulls on all the cabinetry. After 6 months of hard work, we were ready to roll with a revitalized trailer! One of our first trips was a five-week, 8,000-mile journey to Oregon, Vancouver, Banff, Las Vegas, and Chicago. After a couple of days of acclimation, we settled in to a comfortable journey made. A 16-foot Scamp is a delightful “home of wheels.”

Hand-made covers on all the cushions! And no more laminate “wood” for the tables and cabinet fronts. We had an oak tree come down in our yard and had a local reclamation organization turn it into table tops and cabinet fronts (they also made us a 12’ solid oak table for our dining room… but that’s another story).
Features, you ask:

• Two burner propane stove.
• Sink.
• Toilet in front.
• Water from either a hose connection to “city” water or a built in fresh-water tank.
• Hot water heater.
• Air conditioner.
• Built in gas heater.
• Grey and black water disposal tanks
• Dining table in the back the drops down and make a full-size bed.
• Dinette table on the side that drops down for a side bed.
• Lots of storage space including a full height closet.
• Laminate flooring.
• Pull-down awnings over all the windows.
• New deep-discharge battery.
• Year-old propane control manifold.
• Three-year old power converter.
• New door.

And why are you selling, I hear you ask? We’ve decided to downsize to a smaller trailer (we’re getting a T@B, in case you’re curious) that will fit our small storage pad a bit more easily.

And how much will this cost me, I hear you ask? (Same person… you do have a lot of questions!). $16,500 will see YOU pulling out little trailer behind YOUR car. This will sell pretty fast, so don’t delay. Operators are standing by. And if you call before midnight, you’ll get… hmmm… I’ll think of something REALLY neat for you to get!
