Boler’s Cousin -- 1997 Scamp Deluxe fifth-wheel fibreglass trailer. Scamp Trailer started building Bolers before switching to their own brand of trailers which include the fifth wheel. This 19-foot, well-maintained trailer has an oak interior, new axle and tires, new battery and new AC installed in 2021. The new axle, tires and air conditioning cost more than $4,000 – I have receipts for all work done. This trailer was built with most of the options available in 1997. It has bathroom with shower, water heater, furnace, microwave, three-burner cooktop, oven, 3.9 cubic foot refrigerator, awning and TV. There is plenty of storage space throughout the trailer. Factory hitch is included. Trailer weighs about 2,500 lbs. I tow the trailer with a 2008 Ford Ranger, but know that it sits high enough to be pulled by a full-size pickup as the previous owner towed it with an F-150. Since most of these trailers are sold in the U.S., the price is $11,000 in U.S. dollars or $14,500 Canadian. The price for a new trailer from Scamp is $38,000 US or about $50,000 Canadian.
