1997 Scamp Deluxe fifth-wheel fiberglass trailer. This 19-foot, well-maintained trailer has an oak interior, new fir plywood floor and lino in dinette area, new axle and tires, new battery and new AC installed in 2021. The new axle, tires and air conditioning cost more than $4,000 – I have receipts for all work done.

This trailer was built with most of the options available in 1997. It has bathroom with shower, water heater, furnace, microwave, three-burner cooktop, oven, 3.9 cubic foot refrigerator, awning and TV. There is plenty of storage space throughout the trailer.

Factory hitch is included. Trailer weighs about 2,500 lbs. I tow the trailer with a 2008 Ford Ranger — this trailer works best with smaller trucks such as the Ranger, Chevrolet Colorado, Nissan Frontier and Toyota Tacoma. Some older two-wheel-drive full-size pickups may sit at the right height to tow this trailer, but many full-size 4x4 pickups, particularly one tons, are too tall for this trailer.

Since most of these trailers are sold in the U.S., the price is $9,500 in U.S. dollars or $13,000 Canadian.

The price for a new trailer from Scamp is $38,000 US or about $52,000 Canadian.
