Much loved Burro fiberglass trailer for sale. She has reliably taken us to Banff and the East Coast twice, among many other Ontario camping holidays. Owners since 2014 and at least 2 owners previous. In all our travels, we have never seen another Burro but understand they are much more common in the US. We have decided to sell because owning a vintage trailer takes some know-how and time that we’d don’t have.
Comparable to Canadian Boler, lightweight and easily towed. Interior cupboards, countertops, seats and storage areas molded into shell making it easy to clean. Made of a seamless double fiberglass shell construction which apparently makes it less prone to leaks. Although called a 13’ trailer, according to online searches it is 14’ 8” and has a dry weight of 1400 lbs.
Most of the trailer is original and includes full size bed that sleeps 2 and converts to a dinette. Other side is a bench seat. Cushions recovered prior to purchase with sturdy beige fabric. Lots of storage space, including a closet, door rack and storage under bench seating and above/below the counter. There is an ice box (no fridge and door to ice box is broken), sink and range. No washroom. No heating or A/C. Side windows slide and have screens. Includes original? awning, sturdy entry stool, spare tire and original key.
The trailer is in good shape. The frame is good and there is no sagging, but there are some flaws to note.
-roof vent casing crack repaired
-ice-box door has broken off (we have it, if you'd like to repair)
-scratch above/to the right of the door
-crank and tongue have rust, underside looks good
-awning has pinhole leads and requires two people to put up
-some pitting lower front
-cosmetic spiderweb cracks in the gel coat, only noticeable if looking
-blinker has chip in casing
-small rock hole in the storage box (does not affect usability)
-headliner has been removed and needs replacing (reflectix insulation and some type of covering)
