SOLD - 1976 ECO Fiberglass Egg Trailer - $8,000 - Great Falls, MT

1976 Vintage, Retro, ECO Fiberglass Egg Trailer made by the American division of boler

I'm selling my great little, lightweight trailer that I LOVE. This camper has given me wonderful memories. Now it's time to pass it to it's next Happy Campers. The most wonderful part of this tiny RV is that It is ALL ORIGINAL! It's a rare tribute to vintage trailers.

The updates that it has are a new deep cycle battery, new cushions and covers, brand new tires, new hitch, new aluminum sheet metal over front window so a rock doesn't break the window, new pin adaptor for newer vehicles for trailer lights and charging the battery while driving.

The age issues are:
A few rivets to be mended with a small bit of fiberglass. A bit of sealing around the door. A new water tank, a new 10 gallon costs 95 clams. The previous owner let it freeze and crack. I just brought my own water.

boler was the iconic Canadian company that invented the clamshell fiberglass trailer. When “boler trailers move into US market.” The article reported that boler had sold all US manufacturing rights to Eleanor International. Eleanor Intl. employees came to Winnipeg to train at the boler plant.

By 1972, 4 trailers a day were being built, 220 days a year, with a staff of 23 at the Winnipeg shop (880 per year), with similar numbers at the other sites. Eco and Love Bug both started in 1972 and made Boler Americans. When Boler American failed, they decided to use the molds and came up with new names. ECO stands for Eugene-Cal-Owen, the first names of the owners of Century Mfg. Another boler-derived trailer was the Perris Pacer produced in San Jacinto, California from 1974 to 1990.

Boler trailers live on today, under different names and companies. Their direct descendants still operating are: Scamp (Backus, Minnesota) and Casita (now its own company operating out of Rice, Texas) are still manufacturing light-weight fiberglass trailers that started with boler and Boler American.

Trillium Trailers were created shortly after the bolers. The original Trillium Trailers went bankrupt approximately 1980.

Thank you!!
