SOLD - 1974 Hunter I Vintage Project Trailer - $3500 - Pacifica, CA

1974 Hunter I Travel Trailer (as seen in the movie, NOMADLAND)

1974 Hunter I Fiberglass, Pop Top Travel Trailer. She is lightweight, aerodynamic and strong. 13’ long including tongue and bumper. Camper is 10’ long 6’ wide, 6’4” tall with the pop top raised and will fit in your garage. She currently weighs around 600 pounds and from the factory was 1,000 pounds. She can be pulled by most vehicles and was designed to be pulled by 4 cylinder cars in the 1970s. These can easily be towed by Subaru, Rav4, CRV, Teslas and minivans. She is light enough that I move her around my driveway by hand.

These are great alternatives to camper vans as they are easy to tow, inexpensive to buy and maintain, get great gas mileage and can be set up at your campsite while you explore in your regular vehicle. She is in great condition and with a weekend’s worth of work will ready for a road trip or nomadic lifestyle. Located in Pacifica, CA close to Linda Mar Beach.

Step 1: Install new Pop Top Canvas (Included). Its easy to install as you don’t need to remove the pop top to install it. It bolts into the existing holes with stainless steel bolts, neoprene washers and locking nuts.
Step 2: Install 9’x4’ Plywood Floor (Home Depot Pro has it in stock). Floor bolts directly to the frame on top of the fiberglass shell.
Step 3: Mount the door to rear of trailer. The door is painted and clean and has new screens and a window that opens and closes.

After these 3 steps she will be ready to camp in and you can build her out however you want. Depending on your build she should be worth about $11k when completed. Hunter Compact Facebook group has lots of resources.
