We are, sadly, selling our 2018 Casita Freedom Deluxe. Our tow vehicle died on us and we can’t afford to get a new one, which means we have to give up our beloved Casita.
This is the Freedom Deluxe layout, so it has the two swiveling captain’s chairs, the dinette that folds down into a full size bed, and the wet bathroom.
Factory options include:
- Furnace heater
- Microwave
- Awning
- High lift axle
We have also installed a number of upgrades:
- Tongue rack (for generator)
- Remote battery switch (so nice for storage!)
- Larger 13,500 BTU Coleman Mach air conditioner (with electric heater)
- Thick memory foam mattress
- Solar charging (more on that below)
- Bulldog Sidewinder tongue jack
We’re including a whole bunch of accessories and goodies:
- 100W folding solar panel with charge controller
- Westinghouse WGen3600DF generator (more on that below*)
- Cover for the entire Casita
- Surge protector for campground power
- Battery tender
- Leveling blocks and chocks
- Sewer hose with stand thingies
- A bunch of other useful little things that you’ll probably need
*Regarding the generator: this is a powerful (4650-watt peak, 3600-watt continuous) dual-fuel (gasoline and propane) generator that can easily run the air conditioner. It has nice features like remote electric start and auto choke. We purchased it new in September 2022 and have always kept it covered. HOWEVER, it has been frustrating to use. It is really hard to get started. I’m not sure if we were doing something wrong or what, but it was always a pain. After it gets started, it runs fine.
The Casita itself is in fantastic condition and there is nothing at all wrong with it. We bought it in 2022 from a very nice older lady up in Oregon who took great care of it. We took it down to Phoenix where it has been since. We’ve babied it and treated it very well.
It is clean inside and out, without any damage or issues anywhere. We had planned on keeping it for decades, so we gave it the proper care. We’re only selling because of our current financial predicament, which is preventing us from getting a new tow vehicle
If you decide to buy it, you will need to pick it up. Since our tow vehicle broke down, we don’t have any way to move it.
