2002 16’ standard Scamp, Layout #6 with toilet and shower.

This Scamp belonged to my dad. He was the original owner. He took excellent care of it and maintained thorough records of its care. He traveled only in the New England area and for that reason it did not have a great deal of wear and tear. Two years ago, he decided he was too old for it, so I became the owner. I tried it out and although it is fun, my husband already owns a fixer upper boat and the boat wins! So for that reason, I am selling.

Interior: Excellent condition, interior and most appliances in great shape. Cushions are in perfect condition and it has original curtains as well.

Exterior: Looks good, there is one spot with some crazing on the gel coat.

Original jack stands, but replacements included (need to be installed). We intended to do this but decided to sell instead.

Things to Consider:

Air Conditioner lost its coolant and since these cannot be recharged legally, the unit should be replaced if you would like air conditioning.

Water Heater should be serviced. It is currently working but we think it needs a new regulator.

Tires are old and should probably be replaced. We have two spare tires (full size) that have never been used and you could swap them out but I would check with a tire expert.

Bearing seal cover missing on one side. I meant to order this from Amazon. They have them for a couple of bucks.

Rear window is caulked shut. There was a leak issue but the caulking seems to have taken care of it. The leak was dealt with quickly and there is no damage to the interior or the rat fur. As we did a rush job with the caulking (it was torrentially raining) it looks messy. We intended to redo it, but as the caulk is doing the job, we haven’t gotten to it.

This summer (in Canada) at one campground, when we plugged into the grid power there was a flicker in the lights. This likely means there is an issue with the power supply. The built in battery charger seems to work fine.

Water pumps for sink and shower/toilet were recently replaced and work well.
