Don't be fooled like we were when we bought our SCAMP. We asked all the right questions and got the answers we wanted to hear. So we drove 7 hours in the rain to find nothing like we were told. We bought the scamp any way and our adventure started. Here is our true story what we did to our Vintage Scamp. You won't be fooled like we were
We bought our Scamp two years ago and have only used it a few times and then health issues started getting worse with my wife. We had a lot of work to do to it before we could even think of taking it out. All inside walls were bleached then painted, new flooring, tires new, new curtains. We took the bunk beds out and made a couch with new CUSHIONS and fabric. Also took the very small dinette out and replaced it with a new full size memory foam mattress for a bed. We removed the gas heater and burners because of their age. The gas tank was so old it could not be filled. We use either an ele. fry pan or micro wave or grill out side. My wife says eating out is the best. Has a sink and refrig. and roof top A/C and all works fine. All rivets were replaced so no more leaks and front and rear windows were replaced. NO LEAKS. NO MUSTY SMELL AT ALL. No bath room but a port a pot (not included) works great for nights. Out side has been painted and waxed. That was the best reward as everyone thinks we had it done professionally . Always under car port and now garage since we bought it. We may be able to make arrangement for deliverery up to a few hundred miles or meet you half way.
