SOLD - 2000 Scamp 16’ - Clinton Township, MI - Ebay auction, ends Sept 10

2000 Scamp 16’ 2000 Scamp 16’ Standard.

This layout is a modified layout 4 that most resembles a layout 3. We built a bench where the closet would be in a layout 4 or the small table would be in a layout 3. This bench folds down for use as a toddler/small kid bed and when in bench mode the top opens so you can use the underneath for storage.

This is a standard model that we painted the interior cabinet fronts white to match the fiberglass cabinets. The cushion was handmade for the bench and we also made custom curtains/pillows as well.

This model does not have a bathroom or shower, but does have a 2-burner stove, 1.7 cubic foot 3-way fridge, and hand pump fresh water tank. The camper had new tires and rims at the end of last year and fuse panel/converter was also replaced then. We are the second owner and the original owner put in laminate flooring after taking out the carpet. We installed new LED lights throughout the interior and added a usb/12v hub on the side of the new bench. It originally slept 4 people with 2 on the dinette/bed in the back and 2 on the bunks up front.

Everything works well in the camper. The fridge stays cold, the A/C works perfectly, the heater blows hot and all lights and the fan all work. We only used the water tank a couple of times and recently replaced the hand pump faucet. Cushions are original but in great condition. Camper does come with original awning that is harder to setup but works as normal when out. Camper comes with Classic Accessories cover and an e2 fastway weight distribution hitch with sway control if interested. We pulled this camper with our minivan and had no problems. We had the camper weighed about ½ full of our normal camping supplies at 2200 pounds.

Overall, the camper is in good condition for its age. The only major blemish on the camper is 2 small holes that were filled on the roof where the antenna and tv cable were. These were filled with fiberglass and painted, but not professionally done. You can see in the pictures that these spots are high up on the roof and you cannot see them unless you are on a ladder. These holes have never given us a problem and are very well filled so there is no worry about leakage or deterioration over time.
