We bought our Scamp in October of 2017 and love camping with it! It's easy to tow. We choose campgrounds with electric and water hookups and the Scamp gives us everything we need to enjoy trips away from home. It's easy to heat and cool and one of the best features is the bathroom. Walking to the park bathroom in the middle of the night or first thing in the morning is no fun and the on board bathroom is the greatest convenience! Since bringing our Scamp home it's received the following repair and care:
We keep it connected to a 30 amp outlet with a dehumidifier running inside when we are not camping in it.
New wheel bearings on the left side and cleaning / grease repack on the right. Drums pulled again in Sring 2019 for inspection, clean and added grease. Brake magnet and linings were about 1/2 worn.
New dry cell 12 volt marine deep cycle battery moved to inside bunk storage space.
LED light bulbs throughout.
New water heater parts: pilot water heater assembly, gas control pilot valve and main burner.
New outside propane hose and regulator.
New toilet flush valve.
New black water termination valve.
New plumbing hoses under kitchen sink.
Kitchen sink fixture rebuilt with new O rings and rubber seat washers.
New deluxe Scamp kitchen table top.
New entry door handle and upgraded rubber door seal.
Additions: aluminum cargo tray over propane tanks, dual propane tank kit with auto switchover, 2" hitch receiver on rear bumper.
The roof A/C and heat work well
Refridgerator cools well on shore power, propane and 12 volts.
