SOLD - 1988 Bigfoot 5th Wheel F-20 DLX - $6200 - McIntosh, MN

A rare find for northern Minnesota!

This fully self-contained trailer has an exterior of two over and under 100% molded fiberglass shells, and the interior is built more like a house than an RV. Compared to modern lightweight RVs, this is very solid. "They don't build them like they used to" certainly applies here. It is ultra lightweight and can be towed by half ton pickups. It is roughly 20 feet in length with a ceiling height of about 6'4" (much higher than Scamps), so even tall guys don't need to hunch over.

It was restored with the intent of using it, not reselling. So we put a lot of care into making sure it was sound, fit for our family use, rather than just making it look nice for resale and trying to hide problems.

Exterior Features:

-2-piece molded fiberglass shell
-Single axle, newer tires
-Good spare
-Good working 7-pin connector
-Exterior storage box
-1" styrofoam insulation throughout (unaffected by moisture, unlike fiberglass batts)
-Heavily insulated fresh and waste tanks
-Two brand new deep cycle batteries for extended dry camping

Interior Features:

-Propane hot water heater
-Great working propane furnace
-12V water pump
-Solid 3/4" plywood sub-floor on main level with newer floating laminate flooring
-Rebuilt insulated floor in cab-over area with new carpet
-Freshly painted interior (white, easy to clean)
-Custom blackout curtains for every window
-Solid oak drawers and doors (left natural, unpainted)
-New countertops and sink
-Microwave on mount
-High power roof air unit (intake/exhaust, not A/C)
-Screens on all windows
-Screen and exterior door with deadbolt
-Newer Jensen emergency exit hatch
-LOTS of storage in cab-over and throughout the interior
-Propane/Electric fridge with SEPARATE freezer (has had about $700 put into it, basically brand new, hardly used)
-20 lb. propane tank with hookups
-Customized dinette-to-bed
-Custom upholstered foam cushions for dinette-to-bed
-Customized bench with storage
-One-piece fiberglass bathroom (toilet, shower and sink)

-Interior guages:
>Battery power gauge
>Fresh, grey and black water gauge
-Many outlets, including one GFCI
-12v and standard lighting throughout, some upgraded to LED

Propane stove/oven was removed with the intention of getting a Breva oven and electric countertop burners (not included). All other propane hookups are there.

We've done quite a bit of work on it, and the owner before us made some great improvements as well. I'm happy to detail all known fixes and improvements, and will be transparent about all known issues.

Some upgrades include: new main seam screws all the way around, remounting of the doorway with new butyl tape, an acrylic window in place of a broken glass one in the upper cab-over area, new bathroom fan motor and blade, central heavy duty 24" scissor jack for easy raising and lowering (in addition to landing gear), and more.

The fresh, grey and black water may read improperly. This could be due to slight buildup on the sensor in the tanks, which is an easy fix. The plumbing system as a whole, to my knowledge, is fully sound.
