1981 Scamp 13 - Lifted, New Axle, Boondocker Special - Madison, WI - $9500 OBO

Up for sale is our fun little Scamp 13 with some unique upgrades, a clean title and plate, and while it shows some age on the outside, the inside remains inviting and well-maintained.

We bought it in 2021 and have enjoyed two wonderful seasons with it. The previous owner made some changes, including removing the built-in water tank, aging electrical systems, and they used a heavy amount of caulk (hey its not pretty, but it doesn't leak!). We added a modern electrical system ran off an EcoFlow River Pro, basic vinyl flooring, and various other maintenance updates (axle, wheels, etc) it needed to be road-worthy.

Upgrades & Features:

-NEW Axle: Installed in May, this bolt-on axle is is direct from Scamp and comes with a 2.5 inch lift kit.
-NEW 14" Tires: Includes a spare. The upgrade to 14-inch tires provides better highway performance (tows beautifully at 70 mph) and additional clearance.
-NEW Front and Rear Windows in box: From Scamp, windows are included and ready for installation
-LED Lighting: Full conversion to energy-efficient LED lights, including interior, brake, and marker lights.
-EcoFlow River 2 Pro: Power your off-grid adventures with this portable power station, which seamlessly integrates with the camper’s electrical system and can also be used with a standard outlet. It can run off the EcoFlow on it's own, or connected via shore power. The EcoFlow powers a Fuse Panel that connects to the camper lights / outlets.
-Custom Mattress: Provides extra comfort; the camper doesn’t come with dinette cushions, but the mattress is perfect for leaving the bed set up.
-Ample Storage: The sink cabinet is fully open for additional storage. We’ve added doors where needed to cover previous fixtures.
-Propane Lines: Still in place for the furnace and cooktop, but not currently hooked up.

Additional Details:

-The door latch has some play, so we use a bungee to keep it secure while traveling. if you're familiar with older Scamps, this is common.
-Expect basic wear and tear typical of a 1981 model, including scratches and fading paint on the outside. It could use a new paint job, or someone good with a buffing wheel, to make it look newer.
-All components needed to reinstall the bunk bed are included, but we never put it back together as it wasn’t needed for our use.

- The SCAMP came unhitched from the ball due to a failing part on the hitch. The green spot is a fiberglass patch that was repaired locally. The failing part was replaced and we've since put over 2K miles on the Scamp without issues!

COMES WITH:
- Camp Chef two burner camp stove we use for outdoor cooing
- Portable Electric Space Heater (use when hooked up at a site)
- Rear Stabilizer
- Extra trim
- Dometic Go Water System (as pictured)

This Scamp has been fantastic for primitive, off-grid camping and nice campgrounds a like and we hope it finds a new owner who’ll enjoy it just as much! It's a great 'inbetweener' scamp. It's not a full project by any means, but it's not a show-worthy restoration. It's provided us warmth, shelter, and good times and we didn't mind that it had a 'character' on the outside.
