1973 Amerigo FG16 Fiberglass Camper!
It’s fiberglass, like an Escape, Trillium, Casita, or Bigfoot, but the Amerigo has the best natural light and largest windows.
I bought this to restore it from the frame up. It has been a great project, but my career is taking me somewhere this camper can’t follow.
It has two areas where the benches turn into beds. The frame has been redone, the outside has been redone and painted, and the interior has new sub-floors and new LVP flooring. The window frames are new and resealed, and the bench frames are new.
Left to complete: The electrical works but is the original 15A system. The propane system needs to be done. The door does not seal properly. The walls are ready but I’m fitting the insulation in as a I put them up. It’s still a project but the boring work is done.
I have all of the original Dometic appliances, and they all work.
