Very rare 1972 Hunter Compact Jr. These trailers were designed and built in the 1970.s to be pulled by a small
4 cylinder car.(they used a 70.s VW Beatle as their test car) and weigh less than 1500 lbs. dry. This one weighs
1360 lbs. dry, with about 150 lb. hitch weight, and are 13ft. long. They have a poptop that folds down to make the
trailer lower for less wind resistance when towing. They are very rare and hard to find in any condition,
and usually if you can, they are in poor shape and in need of renovation.
Complete renovation and update of this little trailer, (by previous owner) includes:
new white spoke wheels, tires, spare, new wheel hubs and frame inspected. Has a new hitch jack, along with four stabilizer jacks and new wiring. Inside replaced poptop canvas, all new upholstery, added a fantastic fan, 8000 btu unit, heater, TV/DVD with built in antenna, water pump New fresh water tank, microwave, 30amp converter with battery charger, battery disconnect,60 watt solar panel with controller, LED lighting. It also has a Dometic 12 volt, low draw RV/Boat refrigerator with freezer.
About the only things original to the trailer are the sink and three burner stove.
Inside of the camper is changed to make it more livable, by setting it up for either twin or double bed sleeping.
Adding a lot more storage and adding a small potty room with new Thetford Curve electric flush porta potty.
The room is small, but is serviceable and has a folding door for privacy, also increased storage space inside. The
fiberglass is in remarkable shape, and there are no leaks anywhere. The poptop system is in good working order.
Title is AZ. and clear. I am asking $8,800 obo.
