SOLD - 13' Scamp Trailer Project - Cupertino, CA

My wife and I bought this trailer a couple years back, but the project died. We were getting married at the time and now a baby on the way. We decided to pick up and move back home to the east coast.

Here is the deal:

The trailer was pretty nasty when I got it. I ripped out everything that was inside and wire-wheeled it down so that it was completely clean. All the glue from the old material is gone now. There were tons of rivet holes and holes for all sorts of things the previous owner was working on. All of that was patched with either fiberglass or Kevlar. I had access to a layup shop so all the stuff was done with premium materials. The entire thing was sanded down and the red oxide paint was removed. I applied three coats of Slick Sand high build primer. I also have another gallon of the stuff, which you can have. I think I paid $100 a gallon. I redid the floors with 3/4" plywood for the main floor and I think 1/2" for the sides. I had a bunch of other plywood around that I built some benches that I was going to convert into a bed in the back. I got a cabinet and walnet countertop from Ikea and was going to build that all in and do the interior nice, but time ran out. This thing has been sitting in the garage for a year now. You probably would be better off ripping out my interior and having a fresh canvas for whatever you dream up. I think the only thing that would need to be done is repack the bearings and maybe give the torsion bar some new life. All the windows are available on Scamps website, but there are much cooler ones all over the internet. I think I have the rear lights, but they are the 4 inch school bus lights if you want to do something different. I also ripped out all the wiring. Im an electrical engineer and planned on redoing that all anyway. Again, no time.

Let me know if you want to check it out. We are trying to move back home within the next few weeks. I paid $3,800 from the previous owner and put a ton of time sanding, filling, priming, and everything else. I'll entertain offers, but at this point, I'm not sure what I'm looking for.
