SOLD - 13’ Scamp 1986 - Totally Renovated - One of a kind! $9,200 - Fort Collins, CO

**SOLD**

Camp and travel safely and with ease in this lightweight fiberglass trailer! This 1986 Scamp is looking almost new! Complete renovation in 2006.

Weighs only 1,200 lbs, which I’ve been able to tow with my Subaru Outback with ease. These trailers are in high demand, especially now amidst COVID. RV dealers are claiming they have never seen such a boom in interest in RV life, especially Scamps, so these things are hard to come by. It's a great investment because they hold their value really well too (which you know if you're on this site).

Interior:
- Has a mini fridge,
- 2-burner propane cooktop (stainless steel),
- 15' bar sink
- AC unit (all appliances work).
- Tiny Titan Electric Water Heater.

- New Deep Cycle battery.
- New Spare tire.
- Includes new Trimax coupler lock for security.

Freshly treated with marine grade buffing compound and wax. Just stripped and resealed the windows, rivets, and belly band with ProFlex RV caulk. There were some minor chips and spider cracks, as to be expected with a 34 yr old trailer, which I sealed with the ProFlex RV caulk as advised by RV World. I also added new weather stripping around the door for additional insulation.

A previous owner did the renovations in 2006, below is a list of renovations/upgrades.

- New 3/4” Fir plywood floor w/underside fiberglassed

- New exterior urethane based paint w/new Scamp (original style) decals

- 32 amp Atwood power distribution center w/ charger & converter (5 ac, 12 dc circuit)

- New custom made cushions w/new foam & removable covers for easy cleaning

- The benches were extended which means the bed is larger than the original model.

- New custom made drapes to match

- 1.7 cu ft. AC only fridge

- 2.5 gal AC only Little Titan water heater

- Reinforced spare tire mount

- Cable ready (maybe a little dated, but who knows, may come in handy)

- New LP tank w/leak gauge

- New Wedgewood Vision, 2-burner stainless steel cooktop with splash guard/cover

- New Baby Moon hub caps

- New front tinted Lexan front window and seal

- New stabilizer jacks (one with a wheel for easily moving it)

- New door hinge brass balls, springs, and stainless steel bolts

- New escape hatch lid & seal

- New wood grain linoleum throughout

- 9000 BTU AC unit custom install (EdgeStar)

- Curtain rods custom installed without penetrating hull

- Frame completely cleaned, sanded, painted entire bottom undercoat

- New porch light added

- New 15” bar sink

- New grey water tank for sink drain installed

- New edge drip above door

- Entry door was completely reconstructed

- New edging around door, door way, & bottom of hull

- All hardware used was stainless steel or water-tight aluminium rivets

- Completely rewired and plumbed

Comes with a binder with the Scamp manual in addition to the manuals for all the appliances. Heck, it even has a scamp decal for you to put wherever you want.

Some minor issues:

- There PVC fitting under the sink needs to be replaced. This is a minor fix, I’m just very busy right now and haven’t had time to replace it. Just take the piece into a hardware store and they’ll set you up. Can be hand-threaded.

- Some minor chips or spider cracks, as mentioned above. I’ve sealed them with ProFlex RV caulk, but just want to point them out. There are a couple photos included.

- The light above the bed/dinette doesn’t work. I don’t know how easy it will be to fix, but in the meantime there is a light with velcro which can be placed above the bed. Doesn’t seem like a big deal to me.

Be aware that the appliances are AC ONLY. This is an amazing trailer if you plan to camp at site with hookups or visit friends/family and can hook up to water/electric.

If boondocking, you’ll need to bring water and a cooler, or switch everything over to 12v, but I don’t know what that would entail.

All in all, this is an amazing trailer, and even more amazing if taking into consideration that it’s from 1986! I’m sure you will love it!
