My husband saw an ad like

My husband saw an ad like this for a boat?  Did you contact the poster and they say they were selling because they were being transferred to Alaska AFB?

scammer

Posing as a military person is very common with scammers in order to gain your trust. Using the excuse they are transferring/moving out of the country or far away and need to get it sold quickly is also common with scammers. The price point being unusually low is common with scammers. Promising shipping the item with your money back guaranteed is common with scammers. If the person you have communicated with is using either of the above emails and the way scammers operate (that we just described) fits the email you received, then, yes, we can say with 100% confidence it is a scam whether it is a boat, truck, car, or trailer.

This news report of scammers references the sharonak32 email address.

Still Kicking
Same scammers with same trailer and email are still online Facebook Marketplace. Facebook should have intelligence to weed out repeat offenders. Logic seems easy enough.

Scammer for the Trailer

I saw the same thing on Facebook, $800. He said he posted it for his aunt. That's what led me here.  I reported it on Facebook.
