1981 Burro 13’ Trailer

For the couple that loves camping but is tired of the rain, heat, mosquitoes and other pests ruining your trip but who isn’t willing to own the gas hog truck that is needed to pull  most trailers, this Burro is the perfect solution.  It is small and light enough to be pulled by just about any car you can put a trailer hitch on but it still provides a rain free, mosquito free, air conditioned space to eat, sleep or just relax in.

My wife and I have loved this trailer for many years but we are moving to a house that doesn’t have parking for it so we are going to have to give it up.

The trailer is cute and fully functional as is.  You could come pick it up, add a license plate and supplies and go camping in it right away.  If you want to put a couple of hours spit and polish into it, you can turn it back into the really pretty trailer that everyone else stops at to comment on at the campsite.  If you really want to get into it, some people turn these things into mobile artwork.

Air conditioning has been added to the original design.  The gas stove was replaced with a microwave and the ice box with a refrigerator.  Otherwise it is all standard equipment.

The axle and wheels are in good shape.  It has a spare tire.

The handle on the original front jack has broken but a more powerful jack was added to lift and drop the trailer much faster.  We still use the original jack to hold the trailer once it is level.

The trailer external skin is a little yellower than is obvious from the pictures but it is still a great trailer with many more years of great camping adventure in it.

The trailer has a hitch for a 2" ball.  It has a battery backup that can run the lights for a while without being attached to power.

There is minor crazing and dings in the skin in several places as is normal for a fiberglass trailer.

This is an auction sale with no reserve.  We are moving and need to move this trailer to new owners so get in and bid early and often.  These trailers are so functional and such a great value, they have a bit of a cult following so expect lots of action.

The buyer will need to pick up the trailer where it is stored in Oviedo, Florida (just outside Orlando).

It is sold as-is.
