EXPIRED LISTING - 1976 Boler Trailer w/ near complete renovation - $1,500 - Flagstaff, AZ
1976 Boler Travel Trailer w/ near complete rebuild
Bought this trailer about a year ago in an attempt to get the girlfriend out more. Ditched the girlfriend, still have the trailer.
This little unit was in sorry shape when I got it. I have put tons of time and money into it but a new BASE rig is more important right now.
Here are some of the highlights;
Frame;
Complete frame rebuild. Pulled the body off and re-tacked all of the seams, replaced some of the steel, and did a bunch of reinforcement. Built like a truck now. Carefully removed the old "RubberRide" suspension and took it to the dump where it belongs. Replaced w/ a heavy duty 1ton leaf and axel system. Trailer sits about 3' taller now and could go 4x4. 3 brand new tires on freashly sanded and painted rims. Frame-off sand and paint job w/ rust proof paint.
Exterior;
Complete paint job (2tone white on brown, 70's style), new running lights and brake/turn lights (original lenses), new door hardware.
All structural plywood (floor base) replaced w/ 2 layers of marine grade plywood w/ butal sealant (I used to work on boats this thing will out live us all)
Interior;
Complete wireing rebuild w/ 300w inverter set up for solar, bettery, generator, what ever. Speakers installed to be hooked up to a car sterio.
New pump action H2O system, tank, lines, faucet, filler, all new.
Furnace, 7k BTU (sauna in the Arctic)
2 burner stove, all new gas lines t/o w/ brand new 20# tank and regulator.
Sink w/ custom drop in cutting board.
Cabinets/ trim/ stuff done in Varnished and epoxied Oak
Completly new front bench w/ storage/ utilities underneath
Old convertable dining/sleaping bench removed and replaced w/ a fixed +- full sized bed platform w/ tons of storage underneath
Fold down dining table.
Oak flooring
Lots of other stuff too!
The catch;
There is still a fair amount of fininsh work to be done. In complete honesty it's about 80% done, and done well. I have tried to keep the original theme of the trailer but there are some obviously more modern upgrades done i.e. hardware etc.
All of the interior trim tape needs to be replaced. I removed it for the interior paint job and to do some wireing.
Some miscelanious trim work and a couple of bolts here and there.
Needs 2 new light fixtures inside (all wired up)
All cushions and upholstery
Front and rear window gasket (can be bought from Scamp (Boler's new company)
Cute little touches
This is a great little trailer that could follow you down a 4x4 road or get pulled w/ your Civic (900lbs loaded, 2 people can park it uphill by hand!)
Only selling because I prefer tents and I'm sick of working on it. Would rather put the funds toward a new BASE rig
I have lots of pic.s but there all in high-res so they don't upload well. But I'll be happy to e-mail them to intrested parties.
Feel free to e-mail questions, or just come take a look!
