SOLD - 1974 Restored Boler Trailer - $5,500 - Oshawa, ON, Canada
Wed, 09/09/2009 - 22:10
I just finished a full restoration and customization on this 1974 Boler. It is #318 off the Earlton, Ontario production line, for you Boler enthusiasts. I purchased this model as an empty shell and have done a considerable amount of work on it including: -new tongue -frame reinforcement -new coupler -new safety chains -new wiring and lighting -new 120V wiring, retractable cord, outlets, etc. -fibreglass repair & smoothing -custom white enamel paint on top half and inside -custom acrylic enamel paint on bottom half (VW paint code L63H SAGE GREEN, to match my 1976 Westfalia Camper Van) -custom inside cabinets, seats, and storage compartments -custom interior upholstery with brand new hypoallergenic memory foam, all cushions velcro off for washing -matching spare tire cover -new curtains -wall mounted 13" LCD Television with DVD player in the upper cupboard -new fridge -laminate flooring, pvc mouldings, aluminum transitions -new countertop and table For those of you not familiar with Bolers, they are amazing hard shell campers first made in the late 1960's. They commonly sell for $6000 and more to this day. The rear table converts to a double bed in the back. The front seating area can be converted to two bunk beds for children, or will sleep one adult as-is. These trailers weigh under 1000lbs and CAN BE TOWED BY ANY CAR!! I have towed this trailer behind my 1976 VW Van with only 60HP!! I am asking $5500 for the trailer as you see it, however I will install two new tires and a new spare at that price so the trailer is 100% safe. The buyer will also get any leftover materials from the restoration (touch up paint, fabrics, flooring, etc.) for future repairs or modifications. This is priced for a quick sale, other original Bolers in this price range will typically not have all new components. Beware of 30 year old foam and upholstery. Choose this trailer and you can be sure everything is new and clean! I am also willing to add features for a prospective buyer and an added cost. As it sits there is no water system installed, however I can install a stainless steel sink, water tank & pump. The trailer is wired for use in plug-in sites currently (120V), this is how the lighting, TV, DVD, and fridge are wired. I can install a 12V system and deep cycle battery if required. Neither of these options were required for my use so I didn't install them. Now I've decided to sell the trailer for both financial and storage reasons. The trailer is located at my home in Oshawa, Ontario. With an adequate deposit I am willing to deliver the trailer almost anywhere. Or pick it up with your hitch and 2" ball. I will be out of Province from Friday, Sept 11 - Wednesday, Sept 16. All viewings will occur starting the evening of Sept 16.I may consider partial trades relating to vintage VWs, specifically pre 1968 bugs and buses, ghias, or a single axle car trailer, preferably aluminum, but I would prefer a cash deal.
